This years teambuild was attended by Lucia from Astudio as part of LogEco team with Wates. We are thrilled that LogEco won a prize, awarded for the ‘Most Innovative Use of Materials’

TeamBuild aims to promote understanding and co-operation between young professionals in the construction industry and helps competitors fulfil several of the core objectives required for chartered membership of many institutions.

Now in its twentieth year, the competition continues to attract the brightest young professionals from some of the best construction practices around the UK and Ireland. It is an exhilarating, fast-paced, challenging and exhaustive test of skills, leadership and collaboration.

St Pauls Way Trust School has been shortlisted for the London Planning Awards 'Best built project - Community scale scheme' shortlist is announced soon with the winners being announced on the evening of the 16th January2012.

St Pauls Way Trust School gets its A rated EPC for energy use

As recognition of the schools low energy design Astudio's latest school gets an A rating for energy use. This demonstrates the buildings energy efficiency. It has a reduced carbon emmissions of 60% compared to a regular building and also scores an Excellent BREEAM rating.

We were invited by the CWCT (Curtain Wall and Cladding Technology) group to present our ideas on retrofit and re-skinning buildings.
Setting out our vision of the future Richard Hyams said:
'It would be fantastic if in my lifetime that buildings could be measured for their contribution to the environment rather than their cost'

The presentation was part of a day long seminar presenting improvements in building technology from building physics to materials.

Two Astudio-designed academies approved!

Our designs for two academies have been approved by Richmond Council. Twickenham Academy and Hampton Academy, which are run by the Learning Schools Trust and sponsored by Swedish education provider Kunskapsskolan, will provide 21st century facilities for learning. Our designs offer both new and refurbished provision to ensure that the buildings will offer excellent value and will support the school into the future.
